Massage and bodywork sessions incorporate a wide range of modalities. From a place of grounding and presence, I cultivate a safe environment for my clients to completely let go.

My touch is strong and gentle, utilizing deep tissue methods and long flowing strokes to unlock limiting tension and sooth the nervous system.

I move the limbs to mobilize the joints and increase range of motion. I use intuitive touch, kinesthetic knowledge, and the spirit that moves through me to treat my clients’ needs.

Massage Techniques & Modalities

Esalen Massage®

This work starts with attaining deep presence within the practitioner. From a grounded and sensitive state, I use nurturing, full-body, integrative strokes to calm the nervous system, soften the musculature, and move the blood.

Full body stretching, traction, joint mobilization, and energy work are incorporated into each massage.

Esalen Massage® works with form, structure, energy and soul. This art-form was created on the cliffs of Big Sur, CA at The Esalen Institute, thus embodying the rhythmic flow of the ocean and the solid ground of the ancient earth there.

Deep Bodywork®

Created by long-time Esalen Massage® practitioner and facilitator Perry Holloman, this style of bodywork utilizes gravitational pressure to release the deeper soft and connective tissues.

Deep tissue techniques revitalize hardened tissues and adhesions, and encourage a “reorganization” of tension patterns, allowing fluid exchange and chi flow to release pain and stagnation.

This work combines well with the soothing qualities of Esalen Massage®.

Energy Work

I work with the subtle body, the unseen energy that moves around and through the body, and the physical nervous system.

Through my practice of Qi Gong and cultivating a deep connection with nature, I act as a conduit to run universal life force into my client.

Many of my clients have reported that my hands become very hot or cooling, as they experience a charging up of energy, or a soothing sensation. I use intuition and strategy as I apply these subtle techniques.
